Experience and Volunteer work
Through my years of playing baseball, i have also found out that i have a great ability to work with kids. With my knowledge of the game i was able to give back to my community in the form of giving hitting, pitching, and fielding lessons to kids ages 8-15. For example, in high school i was the president of the Best Buddies club with an emphasis on sports. Being the president, i would help set up games between the high schools in the area for the special needs children. I found that sports is a great way to get people involved in the Best Buddies program. Before i was the president of the Best Buddies club, i was a coach for a travel ball team in my city. Not only was i just the coach to these young kids, but i also acted as a mentor in the sense i would make sure they were turning into respectable men and were excelling not only on the field, but also in the classroom. Having the ability to teach young children is a something i love to do and the higher i go in baseball the more knowledge i will get which will allow me to spread the wealth among the community and make young children better baseball players and better people.
