Rome the Vatican By: jenna saad and jj alden

The Vatican is the headquarters to the Roman Catholic Church. The pope also lives here.

The Vatican has multiple museums with fascinating artifacts to go to.

One of the main museums to visit is the Sistine Chapel. It holds many statues, and beautiful artwork. The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was painted by Michelangelo.

"Raphael's Rooms" is another famous museum located in the Vatican. Originally called the "Vatican's Rooms", Pope Julius II lived in these rooms upstairs of the rooms he was inhabited. Raphael was licensed to the rooms, thus the name.

Hundreds of thousands of people gather at the Vatican to just get a glimpse of the Pope. In the Roman Catholic Church, the pope is the person in charge of it all.
