A Mountain Wedding Brian and Natalie ~ September 10, 2016

The story so far...

You remember how this all started, of course. The cold, snowy December proposal... ?

No? Ah, well then, take a moment to refresh your memory. We'll wait...

While you were away, we played a game of Scrabble while making eggrolls. Help yourself while they're hot, pour yourself some libation, and settle in for the rest of the story.

The snack bar is open.

Once upon a time, she said yes, and the planning began.

Of all the exotic wedding venues on earth, only one has the hearts, minds, and souls of our bride and groom - Burgdorf Hot Springs, where blazing stars make music with rising steam in the cool, clear Idaho night.

And when the sun comes up, the springs are ready for you.

Sunset, moonrise... yes, this will do just fine.

There's lots of prep work to do.

Worker bees be working.

Meanwhile, the stars of the show get ready for prime time.

Just right.

The stage is set and the guests arrive.

Are we ready? It's a go...

But wait... someone forgot the ring.

Oh noes! The other ring is missing too. Send out the fastest runner.

All is well. We're underway.

Words and music.

Vows are spoken.

Rings are exchanged.

By the powers vested.

Oh yeah!

The deal is sealed.

Announcing Brian and Natalie Johnson...

The future.
The Johnsons

The hard part over, the newlyweds can breathe again. After a few quiet moments, the party will gear up. But first, the food tent is open!

Edible colors
The Piece de Resistance - the whole hog!
Grits and convo. Sublime.

With guests well fed, the game of Stump takes center court.

Stump Masters, etc.

The cake. Not just any cake. That's right, carrot cake with lathed carrot columns and carved bunnies.

The cake was great... followed by crispy toast!

The sun starts to slide behind the western slope, the twinkly lights come on, and the newlyweds step out for their first dance.

Dance floor's open!

Decibels rise and party animals come in from the cold.

The hot springs get the final word - "relax."

When the morning comes...

Memory becomes...

the pages of a book.

May you grow up to be righteous

May you grow up to be true

May you always know the truth

And see the lights surrounding you

May you always be courageous

Stand upright and be strong

And may you stay

Forever young

Thank you, friends and family.
