We talked to some artists at The Container Yard and much to our suprise and joy, one of them let us in even though they were closed and offered us a private tour.
Artists come from all over the world to paint at The Container Yard
He let us know that this one took about a week of constant labor.
This painting is almost completely old Latin.
He even let us into a hydroponics set up he has in a shipping container.
They use the shit from these Tilapia for fertilizer.
This is the ceiling of a warehouse they use mostly for storage.
Which we got to thumb through...
It was dark in here but there is a legit set of railroad tracks here as an installation.
And a permanent wall-setup for a more traditional gallery space.

I love this. It mixes biblical imagery, comic book characters, and the current political landscape surrounding the impending revolution and the dispute over DAPL.
