New Beginnings
We have made it one week in! Thank you for your patience as we worked through some of the hiccups that occurred. Thank you for sharing your concerns as they came up. It has helped me to zero in on some issues and work toward making things better. I will be sharing some information with you on Monday to discuss student support.

Counselor's Corner
Welcome back to BMMS! We are so excited to start a new school year with you. We will be offering services to both our brick and mortar students and well as our virtual students.
We have moved up with our students this year in hopes of providing some consistency in our changing circumstances. Dr. Trammell will be our 6th grade counselor this year, Tanji Tucker will work with our 7th grade students, and Wendy Ricker will be working with our 8th grade students.

Social/Emotional Support
In partnership with the CDC, there is a Disaster Distress Helpline that students and their families can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emotional support and additional resources.

Thank you for your patience as we have adjusted schedules to accommodate the needs of both virtual and brick and mortar. Some minor adjustments will be made next week to adjust class sizes based on A and B grouping of students to assist in maintaining social distancing for our brick and mortar students. Additional adjustments will also be made to schedules of virtual students to balance class sizes.
Parents of students who are enrolled in virtual classes should email virtual teachers and Ms. Gumerson in the event that a student needs to miss class sessions due to doctor appointments or illness just as they would if participating in brick and mortar classes.

Sport Openers
The season opener for our football and volleyball Broncos is scheduled for Thursday, August 27. The football team will travel to JC Booth Middle School and kickoff at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Broncos will host the Rising Starr Panthers, game time 5:00 p.m. Tickets prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students. Cash payments will be collected at the gate. At this time, middle schools are not set up to receive debit or credit card payments at sporting events.
Social Distancing-Face Masks-Attendance
In an effort to keep crowds to a minimum and maintain social distancing it is recommended that only parents/adult family members of the athletes participating attend sporting events. Students will only be allowed to attend games under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian at all times during the event.
Masks/face coverings will be required for all indoor FCBOE athletic events. Mask/face coverings will be strongly recommended for outdoor FCBOE athletic events. Thank you for your cooperation in the interest of safety.
