(Description) Dogs make people very very happy. People who own dogs walk them and that can help them stay healthier. Studies show that dog owners will live longer than people who do not have dogs. Dogs do have a sense of time, and they do miss you while your gone. A one year old dog is as physically mature as a 15 year old human being. Your dog has a much better nose than you. "Your dog's smell is 10,000 to 10 million times better than yours". Dogs can also hear very well. "Dogs can hear 4 times as far as humans". Your dogs can also smell your feeling. Your dogs really do care about you. The top five most famous dog breeds to have are Beagles, Poodles, German Shepherds, Bulldogs, and Labrador Retrievers. The average life span for most dogs is to live 10-13 years of age.

Assistant Dogs

(Problem & Solution) A service dog usually helps people with problems in their life. They are trained to help people with problems such as, visual impairment, hearing impairment, mental illnesses, seizure disorder, mobility impairment, or diabetes. If someone has a problem guiding themselves places a well trained service dog can be their eyes. If someone is deaf or has hearing problems, a well trained dog can also be their ears around places. Examples of those would be guide dogs and hearing dogs. People can get around much easier, and it's less dangerous. Service dogs are a great solution to help those kinds of people.

How to take care of dogs

(Sequence) Dogs need to have lots of requirements to help them stay healthy and well. Here are a few of those requirements. You want to provide them a safe and clean place to live. You also always have to keep fresh water available. Keep your dog on a healthy diet and try to keep it at the perfect weight. Now, have your pet examined by a veterinarian on a regular basis. Then, provide many opportunities to exercise. It could be from taking a walk to running or playing fetch with your dog. Lots of times, everyone grow to love their dog a lot, so you want to communicate with he or she well. Next, you want to train your dog to follow simple instructions. Also, dental care for your dog is very important so try to keep their teeth well maintained. Finally, make sure you groom and clean your dog well. If you follow these simple instructions, you should be golden!

(Cause & Effect) If you spend just 15-30 minutes with your dog you will almost immediately feel relieved and happy. "Playing with your dog increases your brain's level of dopaime and serotonin, both of which are neurotransmitters associated with pleasure and tranquility". Studies show that talking and petting your dogs are accompanied by lower blood pressure and that means lower risk for illnesses. Kids who grow up with dogs have a lower risk of developing eczema than those who have no dogs. "Having dogs has actually been shown to improve a child's self esteem, and make issues that cause stress easier to handle. Dogs help social interactions. This can make you happier. You can always have fun with your dog. This can also make you much happier.

(Compare & Contrast) "Children that grow up with dogs have a lower risk of eczema than kids with cats". Dogs can be trained more quickly than cats. "Dogs are social beings, they want to be with their pack, wherever their pack may be. Dogs have 42 teeth, and cats have 30. Cats can jump and climb but dogs are earthbound. "A dogs memory is about 5 minutes long, and a cat can remember up to 16 hours". "Even young children and toddlers prefer dogs over cats".
