women's issues By. ruben fuentes lugo

"Women's Issues" Is an ongoing struggle that women from all over the world constantly have to face and overcome.
The Great March on Washington, took place in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, August 28, 1963. The purpose of the march was to stand up for civil and economic rights for African Americans.
After The Great March, many other ethnic groups did the same as African Americans did in the 60's, they chased equality and civil rights. To this day people are still fighting for equality and civil rights around the world.
The Women's March was a worldwide protest on January 21, 2017, to advocate for legislation and policies regarding human rights and other issues, including women's rights, immigration reform, healthcare reform, the natural environment, LGBTQ rights, racial equality, freedom of religion, and workers' rights.

Although The Women's March did not cause any immediate (political) changes, it sent a stronger message to the leaders of each respective country in witch the protests took place in. What the march really did for the people was something more meaningful than just a document, it showed the social changes that the people from all over the world have made in order to coexist with one and other for equity and peace. just like in 1963 when Martin Luther King Jr. peacefully marched in Washington and delivered one of the greatest speeches ever recorded in history.
