Tianyu Sun CHildren Augmented reality experience

The purpose of this project

The intension of creating this project is to bring more realistic contact to the children with the characters from books. As I was young, I always wanted to communicate with the characters in the book I loved, and not feel satisfied just finish reading and forget about it, but wished more, which could be sequel but more than that. Due to, nowadays, books not only alive in papers but films, games and etc. and I have seen some mobile games with 2D animations mostly and some 3D's. Therefore, I wanted to create an Augmented Reality reading experience, so that, children can access the story in another way.

My Audience

The focus group would mainly be Children from their age 6 to 8. As this age's kids starts seeking stories which is much magical and exciting, and something related to themselves.

Why is Augmented Reality

Making it Augmented is not only seeking for the closeness with the character but also play with more possibilities with the characters. With Augmented Reality you can either read the stories in an interactive way from home or school whenever the books open or play with your characters anywhere you want with the special cards hold. It is immersive and fun! If you play from a phone or iPad, it will be much easier to access from anywhere you want, and with the cards or the books. No matter you learning or playing from Xbox, TV or computer with a web camera, or through a projector, it gives you the possibilities to truly feel for the feeling which the characters from the book may felt.

But build the Augmented reality story in apps is aimed at saving the time for accessing the game but playing and learning more.
