Cycle diary A decade of cycling PHOTOGRAPHY

I started cycling to get fit. Taking the occasional picture was just a way to record the event. But the hobby took over. I still cycle to keep fit and unwind. But it's just as much about creating good pictures as it is cresting the next hill, or completing a long distance.

From some time ago. Just an underpass. Being early in the morning meant the end of the tunnel was black. The built in flash on the camera merged nicely with the available light. The different colour temps meant black and white was the only choice.

Inspiration comes along at anytime. A few minutes either way and this picture would have gone.

Waiting for the rest of the group.

Don't get here very often. Well off the beaten track.

Road bike. Bigger distances within my grasp.

I think the white bike, against a dark green background. I like the contrast.

Eighty miles and a stop at a pub. What more can you ask for?

Recent early morning ride. Misty and muddy.

Just in case you thought I could cycle alone

Matt and me.

Matt, Phil and me.

A different Matt, Richard, some beer and me.
