“Kowonga village has had only one borehole for many years so it is the only hope of the people. When the borehole broke down, we really suffered. I personally had to walk about three kilometres away for several times a day to fetch water from a far away borehole in the nearest village.”

“Due to the lack of water at my house, my children would spend many hours crying because they were either thirsty, or hungry because meals were late. This was very stressful for me, and I would sometimes break down and cry as well.”

“Today, our tears have been wiped away because East African Ministries and Neverthirst has seen our suffering and helped us to repair our borehole. My children and I can now come to the borehole at any time to collect clean water, and the many problems at my home have been solved. May God continue to bless you and your work.”

Buni Mahad

“My name is Buni, and am a student at Apo Seed Secondary school. As a student, it was very difficult for me to get water after our borehole broke down, due to the long distance to other boreholes outside my village. As a result, I would miss school at least three times a week, or arrive really late for classes then get sent back home. This was very frustrating for me because my friends were always ahead of me in class. My performance also greatly deteriorated because I missed many classes.

“ I want to say thank you very much to Neverthirst for helping us at Kowonga village. It is now very easy for me to access the repaired borehole, so all I have to do is plan my time well and fetch water early in the morning for both my family and myself.”
