President's Day

President's Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third of every February. In 2017 the date is February 20th.

It is a day set aside to honor all American Presidents. Presidents of the past and current are honored.

It is officially called Washington's Birthday. It was named after George Washington.

Washington's actual birthday is February 22. George Washington was the first President of the United States of America.

It became and official holiday in the late 1870s. It was signed into law in 1879.
