Box Tops for Education

Box Tops Blizzard Collection Contest!

This year, we will run our Box Tops collection contest January 17-February 17.

Our Goals

  • To raise $2000 in free money for our kids
  • 100% participation – even if it’s just one coupon!

If each student brought in 100 Box Tops, it would mean over $6000 for Mukilteo Elementary School’s amazing kids and teachers – we can do this!

What to clip and save

Clip, save and submit all Box Tops for Education certificates and bonus certificates. Each unexpired Box Top is worth 1 point (exception is bonus coupons – 10 Bonus Box Tops = 10 points, etc.). The class that brings in the most each week will get our Box Tops traveling trophy! If we reach our goal, the whole school will get to celebrate with a CRAZY HAIR DAY!!!

How to submit your Box Tops

  • Place the collected items in a Ziploc bag or on the Box Tops Collection Sheet.
  • Turn your Box Tops in to your teacher.
  • Please do not send in Campbell’s Labels.

Flu Season Update

Flu Season Update

Flu season is here! Please take extra care that your students eat healthy, get enough sleep, wash hands correctly and frequently, and cover their coughs. Students sick with fever should remain at home until no fever for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.

Mumps Update

Mumps update: the number of people getting the mumps disease is higher this year than last. Please check your student’s immunization record for mumps (MMR) vaccination. 2 doses of MMR are required for school attendance. Parents can check online for vaccination records at this website:

http://www.doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/Immunizationinformation In the case of a mumps outbreak at school, under-vaccinated students or students exempted from vaccination can be excluded from school for at least 26 days as directed by the Snohomish Health District.

Head Lice Update

Head Lice

Head Lice: head lice are a constant presence in our communities and can spread when children are in close contact such as daycare, sleepovers, and school. Please check your child’s hair weekly for evidence of lice: small white or brown eggs (nits) stuck on individual hair and/or small live bugs. A variety of over-the-counter products are available as well as prescription products from your health care provider. Removing all nits from the hair daily for 3 weeks is an additional method of stopping head lice. Refer to http://www.seattlechildrens.org and search for head lice for additional treatment and home care options.
