This beautiful and diverse African wilderness encompasses 75,000 hectares of widely varying terrain. Makanyane is one of only two lodges in the park with their own private 1,800 hectare concession. This land is reserved exclusively for guests of the lodge and thus there is never any pressure to vacate a sighting.

There are two daily game drives at Makanyane, timed to make the most of the periods when the game is the most active. Guests will enjoy an early morning drive and another in the late afternoon. After enjoying cocktails in the bush, the afternoon drive continues into the night where a spotlight might reveal any nocturnal wildlife.
The executive chef, Mauritz Greeff, combines the freshest local ingredients with flair, talent and imagination to create delicious meals that will add another exciting dimension to your stay.
