The Brooklyn bridge opened to the public on May 24, 1883.

When the bridge opened there was a massive celebration, but when they made it more than 30 people died ):.

People thought the bridge wasn't sturdy enough so P.T. Barnum made 21 elephants cross the bridge and the elephants did not fall so people go on the Brooklyn bridge now. ( May 17, 1884.

You can still go on the Brooklyn bridge now, it,s better than it was.

This is the Brooklyn bridge today.

The Brooklyn bridge took fourteen years to build and took over 600 men to build it.
