JEWISH HOLOCAUST REFLECTIONS Michael barcenas

My initial understanding of the holocaust was that it was a terrible thing in history that happened to the Jews. It was a mass murder of the Jewish population and the nazis carried it out. My understanding now has changed because now I have more resources and knowledge on it. I know little details that I didn't know before.

WHY IS IT THAT DISEASES RAN RAMPANT DURING THE HOLOCAUST?

Many prisoners developed typhus and other deadly contagious diseases. Prisoners were faced with deadly colds and flus and those illnesses were being transmitted throughout the camps.

Jewish prisoners being starved to death. Malnutrition was a big factor in the camps.
This sign was to let guards know that typhus spreads. You have to drive slow so you don't kick up dust that contains typhus.
WILLIAM HAUBEN

William hauben to me shows courage because despite loosing everything he still never gave up. Before being liberated he thought about taking his own life but instead found the light at the end of the tunnel in the last moments. He now travels the world giving lectures about the holocuast.

SYRIA IS A MODERN DAY HOLOCAUST

Isis are the modern day nazis. They have Syria under control and treat its citizens how the nazis treated the Jews. If you do anything they don't like they stone you, lash you, or crucify you. They are brutal and are killing innocent Syrians as the days go by. Isis are doing the same thing the Nazis were trying to do. They are trying to take over the world and create a massive movement.

Even children are having to fight for their lives.
