Tena koutou katoa Chapel Downs whanau!
We hope that you had an enjoyable holiday with your family and friends. This is going to be an exciting and busy term.
A warm welcome to all our new students and their families who have started this term at Chapel Downs School. We hope your Chapel Downs journey will be one full of fun, engaging learning experiences, friends and life long memories.
At the end of last term we recognised our support staff for 'Support Staff' day. Chapel Downs School has a remarkable team who support our children. The dedication and hard work of our language assistants, caretaker and office staff cannot be underestimated. The school simply could not function without them. What always impresses me is the genuine passion they have for Chapel Downs School. They care about our children and they make a real difference everyday. No amount of thanks can truly express the appreciation we have for this team.
Maths Open Morning
I am pleased to let you know that we are holding a Maths Open Morning for Parents on Thursday 20th August from 9.00 am until 11am. This is an opportunity for you to see what your children are learning in Mathematics at the different levels throughout school. The morning will start with a small presentation in the school hall followed by class visits. Morning tea will be served in the hall at 10.30am.
If your child is turning 5 in the next 12 months (born in 2016/2017) please ensure you enrol them as soon as possible. With the roll steadily growing at Chapel Downs this will enable us to keep a track of how many New Entrants we can expect in the future. Enrollment packs are available at the office. Our term three New Parent Information Morning will be held at 9.15am on Thursday 10th SEPTEMBER.
Term 2 Music - Share Your Talent Day
Last term the senior school children focused on solo and group performances during their music lessons with Miss Toops. They loved performing to a very encouraging senior school audience.
