St Mary's Church, Battersea, London Upgrade of an existing audio system

Newtech were appointed to design and install an upgrade to an existing sound system in the church.

The original sound system had been installed 25+ years previous and was long overdue an upgrade. Column speakers were removed and replaced with superior quality Electro Voice speakers.

The speakers were chosen especially for their sound dispersion and overall coverage of the church. A colour match was also chosen to blend seamlessly with the church interior.

Microphones were installed at the Lectern, Reader positions and Altar. They were to be installed as discreetly as possible by clamping onto the metal work of the Reader position.

Switches were installed to give the option of turning the microphones off when they are not in use.

The original Audio rack was replaced with a new pine finish rack with a perspex lockable door. Some of the old equipment such as the Induction Loop Amp was integrated into the new system, but most of the equipment was upgraded/replaced.
