A Courageous Conversation
We live in a Jewish community which aspires to ethical leadership, and yet our conduct too often fails to live up to this standard. The Jewish community mirrors the same inequities around gender, race and class, and the scandal and misuse of power.
Yet at the same time, our fear of yielding our power bravely and responsibility – to set out a vision or to make commitments to values and actions – can often lead to inertia and paralysis.
The gaps between our values and our actions challenge the moral integrity of our communities.
Power in 2020: Education & Leadership Between Corruption & Fear aims to bring together locally based Jewish community professionals from a broad range of backgrounds to learn and address the challenges and opportunities around who – as educators and leaders – we must become.
SEMINARS TO IMMERSE IN IDEAS AND PRACTICES
Power in 2020 includes two immersive seminars – each three days long – featuring text study designed and delivered by SHI NA Faculty and multi-disciplinary educational frameworks and tools developed & facilitated by M² faculty.
Seminars will take place within a two-hour drive of Los Angeles.

February 10-12, 2020
