Four New Elements

Discovered by the Russian, Japan and United States teams of scientists

Nihonium, Moscow, Tennessee, and Oganessan all named after and related to the place and people that helped in the process.

These elements do not occur naturally and can only be obtained in a laboratory. They were discovered by smashing together a light nuclei and tracking the decay of the resulting superheavy elements
