History on Disney World
When Walt Disney first wanted to make a theme park for his animated characters he was only wanting to buy 8 acres, but realized that it was not going to be enough. Later on he bought over 160 acres of land near Santa Ana Freeway and Harbor Boulevard so he could build Magic Kingdom. While Magic Kingdom is over 160 acres Epcot is over 135 acres. Epcot was finished being built and opened in 1982, by May 1, 1989 Hollywood Studios was opened. Before Epcot and Hollywood Studios were opened Walt Disney Died in 1966. Walt Disney World opened in honor of him on October 1, 1971.
Culture in Walt Disney World
If you are looking for a great spot to see all the cultures in Disney World check out Epcot. There is a World Showcase that takes you through all over the world. They play the different music and some do a performance. At the World Showcase you can visit Norway, Mexico, France, China, and many more. You might even see some of the characters in certain areas.
Art of Animation resort is a great place to stay when going to Disney World. There are four suits to stay in. You could stay in Cars, Nemo, Ariel, or Lion King. Each suit is set up so that it has the theme of the movie.
There are four theme parks to go to. Magic Kingdom is one out of the four to choose from. If you go to Magic Kingdom there are many rides but Splash Mountain is one of them. Splash Mountain is a water roller coaster you go down a hill and you may get wet because the water splashes you at the bottom. If your looking for a place to eat at Magic Kingdom Be Our Guest is a good place to eat. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. When the days over with if you stay in Magic Kingdom till 9:00 p.m. there is a firework show. The show is over the castle and they even light the castle up.
