MUST WE ALWAYS TEACH OUR CHILDREN WITH BOOKS? LET THEM LOOK AT THE MOUNTAINS AND THE STARS UP ABOVE. LET THEM LOOK AT THE BEAUTY OF THE WATERS AND THE TREES AND FLOWERS ON EARTH. THEY WILL THEN BEGIN TO THINK, AND TO THINK IS THE BEGINNING OF A REAL EDUCATION. -David Polis

Our Goal Will be to integrate Education and Outdoor experiences with an emphasis on character development and intellect.

By developing our students character, challenging them, taking them outside of their comfort zone, we will build self confident individuals capable of learning in any environment. Learning will be rooted in the classroom, but the content can be delivered in any setting. Think outside of your walls...

Many oF Life's Best Lessons don't require a Desk...
  • Health Benefits: Both physically and mentally our students will benefit greatly from the time spent outside, unplugged, engaged in the outdoors. Endless amounts of research on both.
  • Social Benefits: Students will learn the importance of being part of a team, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and increased self confidence.
  • Educational: By integrating the Arkansas Department of Education's standards into our program and trips we simultaneously develop our student's intellect and character.
  • Behavioral: Solid research continues to make the case that kids benefit from time outside and regular exercise, and some schools are getting the message by instituting early-morning programs. More psychiatrists are also prescribing exercise for kids with ADHD. "Some of the best medicine for kids with attention-deficit disorders may be extreme sports and outdoor learning. That's good news, because not only do they need exploration, but exploration desperately needs them."
