Winter Concerts 2017 Music department hosts winter performances


Every year, the choir program presents their Christmas performance "Noel." Sarah Anderson sings with CG Singers, Debtones and Sound System as they open with "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame."

Choraliers, Counterpoints and Gents sing "Mary, Mary" before CG Singers takes the stage.
Sophomore Elizabeth Frances and junior Jacob Bruce performs choreography during their number "Dig That Crazy Santa Claus."


Subi Pandit '19 sings "Mary Did You Know?" with accompaniment from Nick Parackattu '19.
Anna Line '20 and Ben Johnson '20 perform "That's Christmas to Me" with other quartet members Sophia Watt '20 and Eli Smith '20.

Accents & Surround Sound

During "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," Surround Sound's Priyanka Thomas '19 and Sound System crossover Dylan Hicks '18 share a duet.
Accents sing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" with help from some elementary children.


In the song "Sisters," Avery Drane '18 and fellow Debtone Hannah Richmond '18 perform a duet.
The Debtones perform "O Come, All Ye Faithful" as their third song of the night.

Sound System

Sound System and CG Singers perform together during "O Holy Night." Sarah Anderson '18 solos.
Laney DeLuna '19 and her dance partner Kyle Bachmann '20 perform "Happy Holidays/Let Yourself Go".

CG Singers

The varsity concert choir CG Singers performs "Pat-a-Pan".
Griffin Finchum '19 and Haley Burgh '18 sing as a duo in "Snow".
The Tapping Santas perform "Here Comes Santa Claus" in between Debtones' wardrobe change.
Debtone Elizabeth Boas '20 performs "Pennies from Heaven" as seen in the movie "Elf".

To close out the show all choirs join together in "Joy to the World".


The Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble perform "In the Bleak Midwinter" to open their Winter Concert.

Logan Caywood '19 performs "A Winter's Carol" while playing the tuba.
Nathan Rakes '19 sits first chair in "Christmas Lights".
Madi Day '19 plays "Metamorphosis" on her flute.
Director of Bands Kevin Schuessler spreads Christmas spirit in his snowman ensemble as he directs the concert.
Some members of the band, including Ana Cook '20, chose to wear Santa hats in light of the holiday season.
Madison Hodges '18 performs "Santa's Journey - Bringing 'Joy to the World'" under direction of Abby Layer.
Kaleb Kile '18 and Reese Koenig '19 play the saxophone during "Christmas Carols on Parade" with marching band.
Not even a week after returning from their parade in Hollywood, CA, marching band closes out the Winter Concert.


Orchestra performed many Christmas songs in light of the holiday, "My favorite part was playing "Dance of the Tumblers" and the final piece," Ben Graves '19 said.

The set list of songs included "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Carol of the Bells". "I really enjoyed playing "Dance of the Tumblers because I liked how all our sections sounded combined," Nina Fujii '19 said.
To close out the show, both philharmonic and symphonic orchestras joined together to perform "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year".
