Fishing with the Falcons The Atlanta Falcons' 11th annual weekend of fishing with Military Veterans

This past weekend, the Atlanta Falcons hosted over 20 wounded Veterans in South Alabama for a deep sea fishing excursion.

Falcons in attendance included kicker Matt Bryant, guard Ben Garland, tight end Eric Saubert, guard Andy Levitre, former guard Kynan Forney, former cornerback Jordan Mabin, former running back Jerious Norwood and former wide receiver Michael Haynes.

On Saturday, two charter boats departed at 7 a.m. for the start of snapper season in the Gulf Coast.

All the Veterans were selected through Warrior Alliance, Team RWB and SHARE Military Initiative.

On Friday night, the Falcons hosted a welcome dinner with everyone participating in the weekend activities including Angie Blank, who is on the board for Warrior Alliance, with this military veteran.
"Interacting with the professional football team and the players and the coaches and seeing how they’re interacting with veterans is a very similar mindset and mentality. I think we can learn a lot from each other and there’s a lot of cross-pollination of just good ideas and a lot of things that just work in that culture and that environment.” - Eric Englehardt, Military Veteran
This marks the 11th annual Fishing with the Falcons, which provides an opportunity for wounded veterans to bond with players and build more personal one-on-one connections.

Above is raw b-roll from the fishing excursion, which we invite you to use for your own programming!
