Developing Customer Service Skills CASE STUDY: CCG Ltd and Cardinal Winning Secondary SCHOOL

Steven and Aidan, pupils at Cardinal Winning Secondary, a school which teaches young people with additional support requirements, spent the day at CCG (Scotland) Ltd which is one of Scotland’s largest privately owned Construction and Manufacturing Companies.

CCG spent the day with the students selling goods which had been baked by themselves in their hospitality class. They were given a float at the beginning and counted this mid-way through and again after their stall closed for the day. They then calculated their profit from the day by deducting their original float.

The day was a success as the students gained basic cash handling skills, developed their customer service and social skills and gained a basic understanding of profitability.

As well as this, it was perfect for CCG to be involved as they aim to be recognised as making a positive contribution to the communities in which they operate.
