Poems By Emily Spurlock

RAIN

A quiet

Pitter patter

Small puddles

Then CRASH

The pitter patter

Turns into

Bullets crashing

Down

Down

Flash

The rain

Gets louder

Louder

The puddles

On the

Street

Turn

Into a

River

Rushng

Debris floats past

Soon

The house

We made our home

Is flooded

Soon everything will be gone

Suddenly the bullets

Transform back into the light

Pitter Patter

But when you look

The town

Your home

Your belongings are Gone

THE RAINBOW FIELD

A Rainbow field

Red,blue,orange, pink and white

My Rainbow Field

Bright bright oh it's such a sight

Oh lovely rainbow field

THE LUNATIC

Small yet ferocious

Cute but Crazy

Dimples like

CRATERS

But at only

Five years old

She IS a lunatic

STARBUCKS

Passion fruit tea and

Frappuccinos are life

Starbucks oh Starbucks

You are delicious and great

Starbucks oh Starbucks yum yum

OPOSITES

He has Money

Power and

WEALTH

She is struggling

With multiple jobs and

KIDS

He is begging

For More and

MORE

But she just

Wants enough to

LIVE

He buys everything

For him and only

HIM

She buys what she needs

With what little she

HAS

He is a

Cold hearted

BEGGAR

Yet she is

A kind woman with a

RICH HEART
