Flip your class with EduTech Leveraging Educational technology for blended learning

We hope to explore definitions of blended learning together as the week continues, but to get us started on this journey, here are a few thoughts we've gathered in pulling together resources in preparation for the course. Blended learning is a course design approach that fundamentally restructures class hours and the course environment by integrating face-to-face and online interaction. Blended learning leverages the strengths of online and face-to-face interactions to promote student engagement and help achieve the learning goals of the course.

“eLearning doesn't just "happen"! It requires careful planning and implementation.”

“In order to create an engaging learning experience, the role of instructor is optional, but the role of learner is essential.” - Bernard Bull

“The most important principle for designing lively eLearning is to see eLearning design not as information design but as designing an experience.” - Cathy Moore

“eLearning is changing. And, we will see new models, new technologies and designs emerge. So, let’s drop the “e” – or at least give it a new and wider definition.” - Elliot Masie

“Teachers need to integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum instead of viewing it as an add-on, an afterthought, or an event.” - Heidi-Hayes Jacobs

“Teaching in the Internet age means we must teach tomorrow’s skills today.” - Jennifer Fleming
