She was born in Toronto Canada on April 8th 1892. Became a young actor to support her family after the death of her father. Her carrer took of at age 16.

She started to become more and more popular becoming a beloved beauty of her time. She began working with D.W.Griffths. She wa 40 of his movies.

Her biggest movies where Pollyanna and little lord Fauntleroy. She soon became the first women to get one Million dollars in Hollywood. She started to write her own movies which had great success. In her older ages she created the united artists academy. She died on may 29, 1979 in Santa Monica,CA

She was a great influence on the way Hollywood was in the 1920 silent black and white movies became a huge part of the 1920s making it a great job to be actor and actress during this time.
