The man in the story, Mr White wished for 200 pounds. The result was his son died by getting caught in the machinery, and he gets 200 pounds for his loss. The second wish was for his son to be alive again that night. The result was their son came back alive, but he but he was not his normal self by looking like a zombie. The last wish was for their son to be dead again. The result was that the son was back under his grave and would not wake up again.
