Traditional clothes women
Mexican clothing is a interesting topic. Mexico's traditional clothing is very colorful. Although Mexican clothes nowadays do not differ much from what we wear here in Europe and North America, their traditional dress is quite different. Traditional Mexican clothes were designed to keep people cool in the hot climate that can be found in the deserts to the north to the jungles in the south.
Traditional clothes men
Typically men´s clothing is not as colorful as women´s. In fact, typical pre-Columbian clothing is hard to find today. This is because men often went with little or no clothing using mainly a sarape in the certain areas of Mexico. When the Spanish arrived in Mexico, one of the first things they did was to clothe men and getting them to wear pants and shirts.
HOW IS STYLE DIFFERENT HERE THAN IN OTHER CITIES?
Trends get to us a lot later than in New York or Paris or Tokyo. But women now are creating their own style thanks to inspiration from the Internet.
DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE.
I base everything above all else on my emotions. If one day I’m more down and dark, I’ll wear all black. Another day I might want to look more like a ballerina, so I’ll wear roses and flowers in my hair, Gatsby style. And sometimes I’ll be more rustic Mexican and I’ll dress more like Frida Kahlo, with long dresses and flowers in my hair.
