On Liturgy Alia stanger

What Is Liturgy?

It means the "work of the people" or "public service" in secular terms is the customary public worship performed by a religious group, according to its beliefs, customs and traditions.

Mass as Sacrifice

The Eucharist is a true sacrifice, not just a commemorative meal. The first Christians knew that it was a sacrifice and proclaimed this in their writings. They recognized the sacrificial character of Jesus’ instruction, "Do this in remembrance of me"

Community and Liturgy

A human person is always in relation with others, starting from birth. No one disengages from society altogether and is happy.

Liturgical Diversity in the church

In order that the mystery of Christ be made known to all the nations to bring about the obedience of faith, it must be proclaimed, celebrated, and lived in all cultures in such a way that they themselves are not abolished by it, but redeemed and fulfilled. It is with and through our own human culture, assumed and transfigured by Christ, that all of God's children has access to the Father, in order to glorify him in the one Spirit.

How is the Liturgy both unified and diverse?

We all have different backgrounds and different things going on but we all come together to worship and pray.
