Participation in National Stem School

Hiba Navaid, our Grade 11 student was chosen to participate in the National STEM School held at LUMS, organized by the Pakistan Innovation Foundation during the winter vacations. She was among 36 participants short-listed from all over Pakistan and among the ONLY 12 chosen from Karachi to attend this event. She received an individual award from Syed Babar Ali, the Founder of LUMS School of Science and Engineering in the Synthetic Biology category and was the only female participant to have received an award. Congratulations Hiba on the brilliant performance and for making us proud!

YLES – LUMS

Haque Academy rocks at the LUMS Young Leaders Entrepreneurial Summit (YLES) '17. Team Zenith, was declared as the 1st place winner under Investomania category. Haque Academy was the only O level institute that outshined the rest of the 143 teams from all over Pakistan, in Investomania. Most of the 144 participating teams at YLES '17 had members mainly from A level schools and universities. There were a handful of O level schools from Lahore only. Haque Academy is the only O Level institution from all over Pakistan to have bagged the first place award in any category of LUMS YLES 2017. Well done Haque Academy Business Society!

Inter-School Math Olympiad

Haque Academy aced the 12th Inter-School Math Olympiad (ISMO), the largest Math Olympiad of Pakistan. This year, a total of 11,593 students from more than 600 public and private institutions participated. Kasim Irfan Dawood of grade 6 won the first position across Karachi and Pakistan. Mehreen Dawood of grade 7 secured second while Sarmad Ahmad of grade 7 secured sixteenth position all over Karachi. Congratulations to the students, parents and their teachers on this remarkable achievement.

Sports Update

The much awaited Annual Sports Day took place at the Moin Khan Academy. Students participated in the event with great zeal and vigor. Tilawat and Director’s welcome address was followed by the National Anthem and a tribute song for our late Director Shanul Haque. This year, our Aeromodeling students carried out an aerial display and flew a glider displaying a HA Annual Sports Day banner in front of the massive awestruck crowd. Our young gymnasts and dancers got to show off their skills to their parents, followed by a variety of track and field events. Parents participated with great enthusiasm in the parents’ race amid applause and cheers. The Red House won the House Cup!

We are delighted to share that Nawal Odho and Lumyah Kamran, our grade 8 girls, were selected to be part of the Diya Women Sindh Futsal team to play in LUMS Sports Fest 2017 - Futsal Tournament. They, along with their team, played remarkably well leading the Sindh team to victory by winning the Gold Medal in the U-19 category. We congratulate both our female athletes, their parents and the coach, Ms. Sadia Sheikh on the brilliant performance.

Haque Academy’s football team participated in L’ecole’s under 11 inter-school futsal tournament. Haque Academy secured first position by beating Bay View Academy in the Final with a score of 2-1. Ramiq Adnan was declared Man of the Match. Congratulations, students, parents and Coach Naseer on this achievement!
