Professor Erin Alvarez teaches plant science and propogation classes at the University of Florida.
Here she is giving a tour of their food scape garden. This garden was planted to help promote he use of "food scapes" that serve a dual purpose of edible landscaping.
The gardens around the building also include succulent gardens, like the one shown above.
Professor Alvarez's passion for horticulture is very apparent in all her work. She spends countless hours researching, planting, and propagating to make sure her students learn as much as possible. Although she has a 100% teaching appointment, she also works on small research grants.
