We're in college, ready to play, come on ya'll lets get paid! By: Marquis Gilchrist

College athletes work and train hard for the universities that they attend. With each day that go by from pre-season, regular season, and post season the athletes give it their all in order to perform well or, on day, become professional athletes within the sport that he or she plays. The next two pictures I am about to show are cringing, but they will help get the point across for the defense of paying college athletes.

This is an open wound injury that a former college athlete acquired during a basketball game. The athletes name is Kevin Ware and he got the injury by going up for a block attempted against one of the players on offense, but when Ware came down he landed wrong and got this injury.
Same thing happened to Paul George who is a professional athlete for the Indiana Pacers. During on of George's games, he went up for a block attempted against one of the players on offense, but when George came down he landed wrong and got this injury.

There are a lot of similarities within the text above with the two pictures. This is because these two incidents involving Paul George and Kevin Ware shows that it is possible for college athletes to get injured just the same or in the same way as professional athletes; even if it is a simple block attempt.

College athletes put everything on the line every day when they come to practice or compete on game day, which is not different than professional athletes. The only difference between college athletes and professional athletes is that professional athletes get paid for all their hard work and dedication while college athletes just get a good job and a pat on the back.
