The office staff would like your help in recognizing our staff. Please take a few moments and use the link below to provide some encouragement to those folks that are making a major difference in your child's future. These comments can be anonymous, or you can provide your name. The office staff will use the provided comments every Thursday for our #thankfulThursday movement. The attached form can be completed, as little or often as you like, throughout the entire school year. We appreciate your support in growing the culture of gratitude that already exists at MIS!!
A couple of comments shared this week:
"Mrs. Proper is always there for us students and always gives us a second chance. Every time I walk into Mrs. Proper's classroom I feel happy and ready to learn. She is so well at giving us time to get our work done and that she also lets us have fun doing so. She always compliments my work and how good I'm doing and she also always has time to be kind. If Mrs. Proper wasn't my teacher this year I probably would have struggled a lot more this year in science and social studies. Thank you Mrs. Proper!"
"Mrs Diehr is an amazing teacher who truly cares for her students. Thank you so much for everything you do. You are a blessing."

Related Arts Schedule - Change of classes
We want to remind you that the week of February 22nd will be when your child begins his/her last twelve week rotation of Related Arts. Below is the list of related arts classes by teacher for the last rotation.
Reminder to those students moving to Art
The Art Supply List was posted at the beginning of the year and listed what each student would need for class. We are approaching the third trimester of the year, and students will be changing Related Arts classes the week of February 22nd. Please make sure your student has turned in his/her Art supplies to their homeroom teacher as soon as possible. Students are not allowed to share supplies at this time; therefore, each student will need to bring in his/her own. These supplies will be kept separate from one another to ensure your child’s safety. The following items are needed:
--Art Box (Sterilite Pencil Box-preferred; or pencil pouch/Ziplock bag)
--Crayola Markers (Broad Tip 10-Pack)
--24-pack Crayola Crayons
--2-Pack Black Sharpie Markers (Fine Point)
--2 Pencils (or more if desired)
--1 Pink Eraser (Paper Mate Pink Pearl)
Please make sure that the art box (or bag) is labeled with your child’s first and last name and the name of their homeroom teacher. Thank you for making sure your student has what they will need for Art. It will make their transition to Art Class a lot smoother if they already have what they need turned in and ready to go.
Our school will be participating in the SchoolStore program again this year. This online program helps our school earn cash without students selling door-to-door, collecting money or delivering products. Over 400 merchants, including Kohl's, Old Navy and WalMart.com, have joined together to offer up to 50% of sales to our school for shopping through SchoolStore.com.
You shop online for what you are planning to purchase anyway and support our school. Simply go to www.schoolstore.com, select our school (School code: 8981) and let the shopping begin!! Feel free to share with family members and friends.
