British-Algerian Journalist Mohamed tamalt was arrested on june 27 2016 for reportedly criticizing the Algerian president (Abdelaziz Bouteflika) in a poem that he posted on facebook, After he was arrested he immediately went on hunger strike Which eventually put him in a coma for 3 months(to protest the 2 year jail time he was going to be serving) he later died from a lung infection.
