Violent Storm Crossing Tampa Bay with Waterspout Trying to Form OFF Pass-A-Grille on Aug 18, 2016 Photography by Robert Neff

I had been monitoring multiple storms on RADAR come across from Orlando since 2 PM. I was in Clearwater and saw the front. Original plan was to be at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge around 5:30. However, when I arrived in St. Pete Beach, the other storms were already there. These views are from Pass-A-Grille on the Intracoastal Side (Pass-A-Grille Channel).

The storm had rotation and had spun at least one waterspout on Tampa Bay. Here, on the Pass-A-Grille beach, I looked up and there was a solid tight rotation forming a waterspout. Luckily this did not mature.
