Meet Jenny Montoya, our Volunteer Manager

Favorite Sport: I enjoy all sports, but softball is my first love. In high school, I played softball, basketball, and field hockey. I’m a big Chicago sports fan and I also enjoy watching anything and everything UW-Madison. GO BADGERS!

Hometown: Homewood, IL

Hobbies: I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, kayaking and pretty much anything outdoors. I love exploring new parks and trails with my husband, son and daughter and taking spontaneous day trips to just about anywhere in this beautiful state. Writing, photography, and videography are some of my other joys… also Italian food, cozy coffee shops and craft breweries.

What do you love about SOCO? I’ve had the privilege of experiencing many sides of Special Olympics from the perspective of a unified partner, coach, an event day volunteer, and now a staff member. I moved around quite a bit after college and always formed great friendships through Special Olympics. I admire the way in which SOCO empowers, inspires, celebrates, and brings out the best in its athletes, families, volunteers and coaches. There’s nothing more incredibly genuine than the smiles that you see at the award podium.
