We want to wish everyone in the RIT community a happy and healthy Thanksgiving break!

The university will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and will re-open on Monday, November 27, 2017.

The RIT Department of Public Safety will remain open 24/7 and can be reached at 585-475-3333 or via text at 585-205-8333. For emergencies, please call 911.

Campus Services & Hours

Counseling & Psychological Services

  • Wednesday, November 22 - 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 23 - Sunday, November 26 - Closed

For urgent matters that cannot wait for business hours, call 1-855-436-1245 to speak with a mental health provider or call Public Safety at 585-475-3333.

Dining Services

FoodShare

The RIT FoodShare Center will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22 and will reopen at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 27.

Recreation Facilities

Residence Life

Our Residence Halls & Apartments do not close for Thanksgiving and students are welcome to stay in their assigned locations for the break.

The Residence Life Service Desk will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22 and will reopen at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 26.

Residence Life offices will be closed for Thanksgiving however the Center for Residence Life will provide continuous on-call coverage throughout the break with both professional and para-professional staff.

Student Alumni Union & Campus Center

  • Wednesday, November 22 - 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 23 - Saturday, November 25 - Closed
  • Sunday, November 26 - 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.

Student Health Center

  • Wednesday, November 22 - 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 23 - Sunday, November 26 - Closed

For non-emergency medical concerns, please call 585-475-2255 and choose the option for the after-hours nurse service.

Transportation

If you are traveling for Thanksgiving, there are many transportation options available for RIT students including TrailwaysNY Shuttles, My Bus Home, and more.
