Alta Family Health Clinic, Inc. ("AFHC") is a federally qualified health center look alike serving the communities of Dinuba, Cutler, and Orosi in northern Tulare County. The service area has been designated a medically underserved Area, Medical services shortage area and a Health Professional shortage Area, Area Designation #227. AFHC was started as a hospital-based Rural Health Clinic under public law 95-210, but on June 16, 1995, successfully separated its clinic from the hospital that originated it through the formation of a nonprofit corporation under a 501(c)(3) organization. On August 23, 1995, AFHC was certified as a FQHC "Look-Alike."
AFHC provides full service outpatuent care, including family medicine, pediatric, obstetrics and gynecology, dental, podiatry, and mental health services to men, women and children, regardless of ability to pay. AFHC also conducts research in public health as well as outreach services to the community it serves. AFHC employs a highly qualified heath professional staff including physicians, skilled nurses, medical technologists and other professional staff to ensure optimum treatment and well being of each patient. We are committed to excellence in providing quality medical care and public health services, and to the prevention of disease through community outreach.
Alta Family Health Clinic, Incorporated, exists for the purpose of providing quality, accessible, and vertically integrated health services to the population of northern Tulare County.
