Kyle Gray Pre-professional Photographer

Artist Statement

Photography is capturing life, freezing a single frame of time. I believe my photos capture that well, from the light and bright of early fall trees to the dreary and gritty shots of the more mellow and dark landscape and structures. My favorite thing to do to photos in post production is to enhance the elements causing contrast, and making the image covey more feeling or definition.

A crosswalk with deep contrast and very clear color choices. ISO 200 55 mm f/8.0 1/1000 sec.
A low view of one of the schools chain link fences. ISO 6400 55 mm f/5.6 1/4000 sec.
The Fall sky at its best. ISO 100 53 mm f/11 1/160 sec.
A leaf fallen perfectly on the crumbling sidewalk. ISO 4000 55 mm f/32 1/80 sec.
A steadfast metaphor. ISO 6400 53 mm f/11 1/60 sec.
An Album Cover to my non-existent musical career. ISO 3200 18 mm f/11 1/15 sec.
My ever growing resume.

Below is a presentation I completed on an interesting Photographer named Jerry Uelsmann.
