The First Crusade

One of the first people to set out were the peasants. Not the soilders. And on there way to the holy land they attacked Jews in Germany.
The first crusade was the first to try and take back the holy and this was called by pope urban ll.During the crusades, nobility, knights, peasants and serfs from many regions of Western Europe travelled over land and by sea, first to Constantinople and then on towards Jerusalem
The Crusaders arrived at Jerusalem, launched an assault on the city, massacring many of the city's Muslim and Jewish inhabitants.
The peasants were on the way to go to Germany but before they got there the got attacked and they blamed the Jews.
