PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT: In November 2017, a panel of funders, editors and media experts shared their firsthand experiences in philanthropy-media partnerships, lessons learned and why these partnerships are necessary to build public awareness and greater understanding of important stories that otherwise may go untold.
AGF's second annual luncheon, Transform Arizona presented by Northern Trust, featured presentations by author and journalist Jon Talton and Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CEO Lea Marquez Peterson.
On Feb. 27, AGF members and state legislators met at the second annual Arizona Philanthropy Day at the Capitol to discuss issues that impact the communities they collectively serve and explore opportunities to partner.
A FirstBank branch in Scottsdale prepared for Arizona Gives Day by having local artist Debra Lee Murrow of COLORME Art Spa design a Post-it note mural on its windows. The names of nonprofits participating in the 24-hour day of giving were written on the notes.
