Pediatric Dental Care
Dr. Stephen Wolpo, D.D.S (203) 323-9277
The ADA recommends children go to the dentist for their visit within 6 months after their first tooth erupts but no later than their first birthday.
Good oral hygiene starts early. Your family dentist will help teach you to care for child's teeth and teach them correct methods for tooth care.
At four months, teeth pain often begins and can last until the age of 3. This is a normal developmental process.
Children experience tender and sore gums. You can soothe this pain by rubbing the gums, applying cool wet gauze or using a frozen teething ring.
As your child gets older, regular dental checkups should be routine every 6 months.
