Jan 15, 2017. The demolition of the docks along the south wall and east's parking lot began last week. There is a trailer for the project team. by the entrance next to the traffic circle.

Lee Hick's from Maximo Marina's management company spoke to residents from the Moorings of Maximo Condo Association. The renovation should be finished by next April. Concerns were voiced that they Maximo Marina would run out of money and not complete the renovation. Hicks assured the residents they have the money.

He said they were trying to get a restaurant for the Marina's South side. Then he added, unlike the other restaurant, this one will have a license. Mr. Hicks needs to state which license Margaret's business, Saint Pete Heat, LLC D.B.A. Maximo Seafood Shack, was missing, because she was fully licensed by the City of St. Petersburg to operate a restaurant. In addition, there was a grease trap as required by local city ordinance.

This is the same Lee Hicks who was reported telling people, who stopped by the Shack after it was closed, that the Fire Marshall closed them down. I made a Public Records Request and the City responded, There were no citations.

Other comments: The marina will reducing the number of slips by 70 and focusing on 80'. The fuel dock will be floating and 15' wide.

Pelicans watch in disbelief as the Maximo Seafood Shack could have been open for the Summer and Winter Solstice and XMAS. Real people could have been employed until then!

The docks along the east parking lot are all down.

I had just spent two days photographing Venice and boarded the train for Milan for another two days of travel photography. After I found my seat, I was sound asleep before we left the station.
