On the whole the day was not only fun filled but also creative and innovative. Students learnt a lot and were motivated to do something useful to society, which is the real essence of ATL Lab.
Teachers Workshop on ATL TECHNOLOGIES
To keep up the momentum of our growing economy, it is imperative to provide opportunities and facilities to our youth and empower them with the core futuristic skills. Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) have been conceptualized towards this very direction – to imbibe futuristic skill sets among youngsters by providing them with access to multiple technologies and enabling them to build/make new solutions to solve challenges they see in their communities. To make available these resources to children teachers had brief 3 days training on ATL tools so as make them well equip with the required skills to guide their students.
ATL Community Day
“Learning & Innovation go Hand in Hand” ! M.M. Public School, under the aegis of the Atal Innovation Mission of NITI Aayog hosted Community Day on 26 September 2019. Under the supervision of Mrs. Rooma Pathak (Principal) and Mr. Amit (mentor STEMROBO) the day provided an opportunity to the budding scientists to work on innovative prototypes and exhibits with the goal to identify solutions to the present community problems. Principal Ma’am interacted with the students providing them with the tips towards fostering scientific acumen and inculcating skills of design mindset, computational thinking and adaptive learning which is need of the hour. The event was a success involving mass participation of neighbourhood schools and students of NGO. Besides interaction the day also witnessed a session on robotics followed by hands on activities for students from NGO who got a platform to work on 3D printer and breadboard components and other prototypes designed by the budding scientists. It was an enriching experience for one and all.
ATL Student Innovator Awards 2019
On the occasion of World Children’s Day, MMPS in collaboration with AIM, NITIAayog is proud to announce the winners of ATL Student Innovator Awards from ATAL Tinkering Lab and community.
To motivate these stellar innovators so that they continue innovating and to inspire and lead many more young tinkerers in this path of discovery for national and global good through cutting edge innovation few top students were nominated as the Student Innovators of 2019 from our school and the community. This was the first step to recognize the efforts put in by young innovators of our country and ensuring that their consistent effort in innovation is recognized nationally in their academic as well as in their professional careers. These student innovators, Lavi Hassija of class X, Mahi Chaudhary of class VII, Ladli from NGO and Arjun Pathak from community were awarded with Merit Certificates and Special Badges on 20th November 2019 on the occasion of World Children's Day by our revered Principal Ma’am. Organizing Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s Birthday at ATL
“India towards Innovation” M.M. Public School leaves no stone unturned while spreading scientific awareness among the students. In pursuance to this an ATL workshop on the occasion of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s Birthday was hosted by the school on October 16,2019. Mr. Siddhartah Jaitly, CTO (AI, Coding and Robotics Division) of BeSingular, representative from NITI Aayog graced the occasion with the benign presence. MMPians participated in the event with great zeal. The eminent spokesperson, Mr. Jaitly apprised the spectators with the innovations in science and shared his immense knowledge on robotics research. The event proved to be a massive success as it aided the materialization of making our nation a model of innovation for the world.
A Pageant of Creativity
Don’t worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you’ll have to ram them down people’s throats. —Howard Aiken. Realizing the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds, the school organized an ATL Exhibition on January 7, 2020 wherein students of our school showcased their talent for innovative ideas and creativity in hands on activities in Robotics and Electronics. Students not only shared their innovative ideas but were also motivated for new solutions for the prevailing problems in the society. The event proved to be a massive success as it brings smiles to children, teachers and parents too.
ATL Game Show
To quench student's thirst for innovation an event ATL Game Show was planned where students created games and general public payed the games.
We put tickets also of very minimal price and all the profit was then forwarded to NGO associated with school. Students and school were very appreciated. We put the games like Stone-Paper-Scissor, Memory game, Scratch games, Hit the ball, Toy vending machine, etc.
Students were also very happy and the impact was that now they don’t play the game instead create and share with their peers. Hoping that they will do something really good for the society by their skills and innovations.
