All sessions are conducted rain or shine. Weather will not be cause to cancel a session. Failure to make lodging reservations in a timely fashion could mean risking not getting easy and timely access to the shooting location. Scott Bourne Photography Workshops is not liable in the event you miss or are late for your session due to problems accessing the canyon on time. There are no refunds, sorry no exceptions. All remaining workshop fees must be paid by April 15, 2019. Failure to pay the final fee on time will result in forfeiture of your spot and deposit with no refunds. There is a $50 discount for those who prepay the entire workshop fee at registration - i.e., $700 v. $750 but again, there can be no refunds. Trip Insurance is STRONGLY ADVISED. Contact https://www.worldnomads.com/ if you need to find reliable trip insurance.
*Guarantee does not apply to acts of God or in the event that you aren't able to operate your camera. You are expected to know how to use your camera, mount a lens to it, make exposures, etc. It is highly recommended that you bring your camera manual as a reference for use during the workshop.
1. Q. Is this really a private workshop?
A. Yes it is - unless you choose to bring someone along with you.
2. Q. Is this workshop open to beginners?
A. Yes, but you are expected to know how to fully operate your camera, measure exposure, change lenses, etc.
3. Q. How can you guarantee hummingbirds will be there.
A. Years of experience have taught me where to find hummingbirds and when. If there are no hummingbirds present during your workshop you will receive a full refund - but that has never happened.
4. Q. Are there any exceptions at all to your non-refundable deposit policy?
A. None whatsoever - it is recommended that you buy trip insurance so that any legitimate problem that impedes you from attending the workshop will be covered by a third party.
5. Q. Is there anywhere else to book lodging in the area?
A. Yes but there are VERY FEW rooms available anywhere close by and the most convenient spot as well as the best spot for the money is the Santa Rita Lodge.
6. Q. Are there restaurants nearby?
A. No - the hotel has a few snacks for sale in the gift shop but you should either buy your own food at the Safeway in Green Valley (closest real town to the canyon) or plan on a 15-20 minute drive to nearby restaurants.
7. Q. Are your workshops and the grounds at Santa Rita Lodge smoking or non-smoking?
A. The workshop and the area are all non-smoking. Smokers will not enjoy this tour.
8. Q. Will you be shooting alongside me?
A. No - this workshop is about you getting your shots, not me getting mine. I am here to help you.
9. Q. What camera do you shoot with?
A. I shoot with Olympus.
10. Q. Will your flash setup work with my camera?
A. Yes - this system will work with any modern camera.
11. Q. At the end of the workshop, will you subject me to a high-pressure sales pitch asking me to sign up for future workshops or to promote you on social media?
A. Absolutely not. There will be no sales pitch of any kind and you will not be asked to promote anything or anyone on social media.
