1.What kind of narrator does the novel have? How do you know?
The kind of Narrator the novel has is a first person Narrator. This conclusion was based off of the vocabulary the author has written such as; "I couldn't", "We went", as well as "north of us". This shows that the Narrator is in first person through out the novel.
2.Do you agree this story will be a flashback? Why or why not?
I do agree that the story will be a flash back due to the author going back and forth within specific points in the characters lives. To illustrate, on page three it states, "When he was nearly thirteen, my brother Jem got his arm badly broken as the elbow." then in page seven scout states " When I was almost six and Jem was nearly ten". This shows how the author is doing flask back with in the story.
3. You have been introduced to five characters. Who are they and what is their relationship to one another?
The five characters are Scout and Jem Finch who are the children of Atticus Finch and niece and nephew of Alexandra Finch as well as Simon Finch their earliest recorded ancestor. Then there is Charles Baker Harris (Dill) who is the nephew of Miss Rachel Haverford that is friends to Scout and Jem. As well as Mrs. Henery Lafayette Dubose who are aquantences of the Finch's. Mrs. Radley whom is wed to Mr. Radley, Boo Radley (Author Radley) is the youngest son . Miss Stephany Crawford resident of Maycomb.
4. What events will the novel trace?
I believe that the novel will express the events of, discrimination and the battle of Colored equality. This was based off the the following quotes; "A Negro would not pass the Radley Place at night." from page eleven, as well as, "Being southerners ..." from page three. Also the setting of the novel which is during the 1930's following the Great Depression.
5.How does the author arouse curiosity and builds suspense?
How the author builds suspence in the novel "To Kill A Mocking Bird" is by the narrator being innocent and a child not knowing the full truth.
