I love this passage from the book of Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12 "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."
This is a great passage if you are a preacher at a wedding. The passage illustrates just why God has made man and woman to stand next to each other. He put them next to each other so that they could face every season and circumstance of life. The passage however is not just about a man and a woman. Simply put is says, do not isolate yourself.
Don't be alone, make sure that you have others around you who will be there for you and you for them in the challenging and the celebratory times of life.
We need others and others need us. This is what church is about, why not consider joining a small group or even better, why not consider leading or hosting a small group in your house.
