La Musica Latina Linda Viera Caballero (La India)

Linda was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. Her parents moved to New York City after her birth and settled down in South Bronx. In 1985, when Linda was 14 years old, she was a member of the Latin freestyle group TKA and was featured on the cover of TKA's album. She left shortly thereafter. She didn't attend any academy or music school. She just picked it up during childhood and got noticed in 1992 when she went to the recording studio with her husband.

She didn't have any bumps in the road. Her genre of music is Salsa, Latin Pop and Dance Music. Her style focuses on mixing Latin music with intense emotional overtones. She sings with Afro-Caribbean music or rhythm of blues.

Biggest album: Llego la India via Eddie Palmieri, this album was acclaimed as one of the best salsa albums of the year. After making this album she got the title that everyone knows her as of today which is India.

Honors and Awards: She recieved a Lo Nuestro Award nomination in 1993 for Best Female Performer. She also got awards for album of the year in 2003 (Latin Songbird:Mi Alma Y Corazon), 2004 La India (Herself), and 2007(Pura Salsa)
