What are drugs? Drugs are a medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or other wised introduced into the body. Over time drugs have evolved, for reasons of good and bad. At first, drugs were legal, and weren't seen for their harmful effects. But was used often at parties, and even in food. For example, the drink Coco Cola, was first made with the drug cocaine. Once people started realizing that cocaine was addictive and harmful the body, the Coco Cola company stopped making the drink with the drug, and is now known as a delicious sugary drink.

There are also times where drugs are use for medical reasons. For example, medical marijuana can be used to treat:

  • Muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis
  • Nausea from cancer chemotherapy
  • Poor appetite and weight loss caused by chronic illness, such as HIV, or nerve pain
  • Seizure disorders
  • Crohn's disease

But there also some very harmful drugs. Such as LSD. LSD is a Lysergic acid diethylamide, also known as acid, is a psychedelic drug known for its psychological effects. LSD is taken orally. Gelatin and liquid can be put in the eyes. Some signs that you should look for in someone on LSD:

  • Dilated pupils
  • Higher body temperature
  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure
  • Excessive Sweating
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea
  • Sleep problems
  • Dry mouth
  • Tremors
  • Uncoordinated movements
  • Panic
  • Paranoia
  • Psychosis
